The World Needs Law & Order

Our ONE WORLD Is In Your Hands

13th March 2012

Dear President Obama,

“To sin by silence, when we should protest, makes cowards out of men.  The human race has climbed on protest.  Had no voice been raised against injustice, ignorance and lust, the inquisition yet would serve the law, and guillotines decide our least disputes.  The few who dare, must speak and speak again, to right the wrongs of many…”   – Ella Wheeler Wilcox

A good and lasting relationship must be a two way street. If it’s only one way then it’s better go your own way, don’t you agree? Therefore, it makes no sense for the United States to give the unconditional support that it has been giving to Israel for such a long time, especially when Israel has refused to honor the peace agreement signed in Oslo in 1993.

First Yassir Arafat was a threat, then Hamas. And after Hamas, it was Iraq and now it is Iran, the latest and greatest threat to Israel’s survival…who will be next? Now, much of the whole world is a threat, does that mean we should bomb one another due to our own insecurity and fear? There seems to be no end to the so-called threats, where does it stop? Is this the way the New World Order should operate, in a pre-emptive way?

We have only One World for All of Humanity and whatever action the leaders take will affect all of us on the ground, hence we need to speak up with courage to voice our concern! A ‘pre-emptive strike’ should be made a crime against humanity. I have a good suggestion that the UN must come out with a New Law to jail any leaders that launch a pre-emptive strike against any country simply due to fear. I hope you will support this idea and make it a reality.

Now there is another pressing problem which I believe is a crime against humanity. Are you aware of the water situation in Gaza? Almost 95 percent of the water pumped into the Gaza Strip is polluted and unfit for drinking. This warning was issued by the UN Environment Programe. They estimate it will take at least 20 years to rehabilitate Gaza’s underground water system, and any delay in dealing with the problem will lead to additional deterioration in the situation and thus might extend the rehabilitation process for hundreds of years.

I am sure that you understand my concern, and sense of urgency, in getting Israel to implement the peace agreement that had been delayed for almost 20 years. I came across this article “Water for All: The case of One State Solution” by Mr Ramzi El Houry and after reading the entire article I was very concerned. I realized that the two-state solution is close to impossible, since the main water supply is in the West Bank. Mr El Houry said, “Under these conditions, it is clear that any two-state solution granting the Palestinians complete sovereignty is a non-starter for the Israelis. Conversely, any solution that might theoretically be acceptable to the Israelis presupposes a Palestine that is not in control of its water resources, and hence is not sovereign.” (http://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/opinion/2012/01/2012117121836414354.html)

If Netanyahu government is serious in the 2 state solution all he got to do is to follow the example of Singapore when we became independent from Malaysia by signing an agreement on the water supply for a considerable number of years at certain cost. Until now, the agreement is still ongoing with Malaysia. The controlling of the water supply at the West Bank remains with the Palestinian authority as a sovereign state should do. If Netanyahu said it is not possible, then this means he has no intention to give the Palestinians a state because his real intention is to swallow the whole of Palestine for Israel if not why he kept insisting that no right of return for the Palestinian refugees, the Capital of Israel got to be in Jerusalem and Israel is a Jewish state!

I believe the only answer left is a One State solution and there is no point to drag this on. Enough is enough! The United Nations and especially America must call for a One State Solution like in South Africa because Israel is not serious at all about concluding the deal. The world is running out of patience with the actions of Israel, obviously a people who do not care about others and only for themselves. As long as their behavior continues as it has been, there will be no hope of a deal!”

I came across this proposal by Nasser Abufarha “Proposal for an Alternative Configuration in Palestine-Israel ” (http://www.ap-agenda.org/initiative.htm), it is very convincing and I hope you can find the time to read it. Still, it makes sense to have a One State solution rather than forcing a two-state solution that is not sustainable (based on what Nasser Abufarha has written). Let us give this proposal a chance and open up the dialogue for new ideas to bring us to a higher level of success in order to bring peace, harmony and unity to the Israelis and Palestinians.

This is my 2nd letter to Prime Minister Netanyahu.http://palestinebedrockoftheworld.com/barking-dogs-dont-bite/
