Reality and Space in Singapore “FEAR rule the day!”

Everyone who knew me this was what they said, “Sunflower you are not one bit like a Singaporean except when you speak English.” And you know why? I am not from the system not because I don’t want to be but I didn’t have the paper qualification. Am I sad, NO far from it instead I feel blessed and after reading this article written by Jason Tan you should understand why I’m a blessed soul?

Jason Tan – July 10, 2016 2016 at 12.51 am

Speaking from a illuminati satellite city of Singapore, the way MNCs and politically affiliated businessmen and politicians leeches of 90% of our currency is disgusting.

Amassing human slaves like tsunamis, followed by the construction new flats with a cell tower built for every one of them and of course, the daily intake of fluoridate water, the usual PC/TV/Call and media propaganda we have always been the lab rat for human mind control experiment.

Our citizens have been reduced to mindless zombies living a life of caged animals. I’ve watched videos on animal cruelty but the most shocking part was not at the violence nor the painful angry screams, it was the familiarity in our actual living environment and how desensitized we have become.

As I watch my people living life like a robot (you know robot has no conscience) I’m concerned for Singapore’s future because there will be no future when your people are not living but just exist! I have broken up with my children in end of 2014 because of Palestine. My daughter did not allow me to use WHD platform to fight for the Palestinians cause. Simply because everyone knew that the government is standing by America and ‘illegal israel’ so we better stay silent if we are not joining them. In short, she said that I’m selfish and I do not care for the family and in fact my son said that I’m destroying the family by being so stubborn to fight the Palestine cause!

My mother said the min the world allow ‘illegal israel’ to be legitimate that will be the end of Singapore because the day Indonesia is strong they got every right to claim back Singapore, how? In the Gaja Mada times, the whole of Asean belonged to Indonesia. My mother said that Indonesia got the right to claim back all territory because it was written in history but the evil Zionist Joos just plucked from thin air that they are the Chosen People and they got the right to the Holy Land of Palestine, what utter rubbish!! She said that if this wrong is not corrected there will be no peace and harmony in the entire world because the foundation of this world is JUSTICE!

My mother though uneducated felt the heat in the early 70’s because she said that the west kept propagating competition and meritocracy but there were none at all. She said that the west was ahead of us many folds and our first setback is the language because most of us were Chinese speaking and in the eyes of Lee Kuan Yew we had no choice but must catch up at the expense of our culture and this mean he got to gear the whole nation just for our survival. It is to me a very heavy price we had paid as a nation because we are rich on the outside but empty in the inside so now you understand why Singaporeans are known as live robots. I was an air hostess in the early’s 70’s I heard it most of the times:( When English became the main language of course, it will affect our own cultures because the root of our culture is the language.

In Asia, we always need to catch up and by the time we are able to catch up slightly, the west will change new rules and regulations to slow us down! Cannot tahun all our life always hear this bloody word, GOT TO CATCH UP! BLOODY HELL CATCH YOUR HEAD instead we must have the mind set to excel because in my mind I have a brain they have a brain so why are we in the East always has to catch up instead to INNOVATE and set new direction!! But no choice lah especially for Singapore we have a mindset of a middle man so this kind of thinking is not easy to change as we have been serving the west till eternity, right? My mother said that the west NO NEED TO CATCH UP, How come? If they cannot win and they have so many bombs all they need to do is to find a good excuse to bomb us. My mother said the weapons is the BOSS not us we just got to follow if we want to stay alive because this is the rule of the game in the Capitalist world.

I thank Mr. Lee Kuan Yew for being who he was which had made me who I’m today, a proud Singaporean woman with a strong mind of her own that Singapore must excel and not just survive. To excel you need to nurture the local companies and talents at the same time because the true foundation of the countries is your people and not the MNC, period!

The only thing different between me and my mother is my mother being a Jehovah Witness cannot wait to go to the new world. She told me this new world is going to be a big beautiful garden where you can pluck the fruits from the trees and you don’t need to pay a cent:) My mother is very funny I like her whenshe talk on all these idealism:)

I, Chong Sun Wah believes this world is a paradise and all we need to do is to care for one another maybe that is why how I came to give birth to World Harmony Day. And I have self-appointed myself as the spiritual partner of Lee Kuan Yew. Why do I need to do it? Because my mother said Lee Kuan Yew one hand lift us up the other hand will bring us down! So instead of letting the other hand go down, I must come forward to take my rightful position as a citizen of Singapore to help steer Singapore to the right direction of love and compassion through the development of art. I dont want Singapore to be a Corporation I want to live in a spiritual environmrnt whereby not every conversation is about money!

Dearest John,

This is the paragraph – I love Lee Kuan Yew because I see all the contributions that he had done for Singapore as an act of doing God’s job too. This was what my teacher had told us about him but she said that unfortunately, the people will never see it in this manner but will instead perceive their religious leaders as their God. A very good example is the City Harvest saga.

You see when people talk bad about Lee Kuan Yew I am not happy because like the way you see pastor Kong is how I see Lee Kuan Yew. In my younger days, I am even worse like hard core Lee Kuan Yew but my father did not want me to see him in that manner because my father said Lee Kuan Yew got bad things in his closet so my father worried I will be devastated when I found out so he wanted me to step back. I wanted to abort Greta but it was my father who wanted me to give birth to Greta. And the fortune teller told me because I gave birth to Greta she protects my wealth and now I saw my blogs are my wealth. I can’t write very well to explain everything to you.

Last night like cat and mouse game with yahoo and Gmail fighting the evil Zionist Joos. Finally, I stop work at 3.30am because cannot send the email they block me again. Now they stop me completely. Let see whether this email will pass through or not.

Love,

Sunflower

Hi Sunflower

I’m honored that you think of me that way. I’m not sure which line you want to look at when you said the last line. Do you mean this:

I hope that you will have a good meeting with MM Lee. He has grown old with grace and this quote really speaks of his true being, “Let your spirit flow with giving and your heart will glow with loving.”

Actually, this is your blog, I think my opinions don’t matter at all and you should be free to express what you think is good for others to read in your posts.

[Q&A] Kishore Mahbubani: Can Singapore Survive?

Published on Apr 17, 2015

Dean Kishore Mahbubani had a Q&A session with the audience during his book launch of “Can Singapore Survive?”.

Some of the issues discussed in the Q&A session are:

1) SMRT and the Public transport in Singapore
2) How can Singapore continue to be an exceptional state or society in the next 50 or 100 years?
3) What role will India play in Singapore in the next 50 years?
4) What do you think of Singapore’s role as a role model for countries in the region? Do you think that Singapore will continue to be an attractive place for upcoming policy makers to come and learn about policy?

The Q&A session ends with Kishore Mahbubani and Tommy Koh revealing the book cover of “Can Singapore Survive?”.

Wow new world order with trump ?

This yet to be published book, MY MOTHER, LEE KUAN & GOD is about my mother thought of LKY and his great belief in Capitalism as the only way to go for achieving success instead of anchoring onto God love.  Many people who knew me often asked this question, “Why are you so obsessed with Palestine?” Well frankly speaking my journey was never about Palestine in fact, it is all about Lee Kuan Yew because he did not believe in God power like the UN. (but at his old age he seemed to come around with the underswtanding that people with the spiritual strength seem stronger mentally.) Allow me to share with you the UN AGENDA.

UN WAS CREATED BY ROTSCHILD ZIONISM TO GIVE LEGITIMACY TO ‘illegal israel’. FOR FREEDOM TO LIVE, UN MUST FALL, PERIOD!!

THE TEN STRATEGIESAlice Bailey, New Age Guru

1) Push god out of the schools. If the people grow up without reference to God they will consider God irrelevant to day to day life. In the last fifty years, this has happened. God is irrelevant to most people.

2) Break the Traditional Judaeo-Christian Family Concept. Break communication between parents and children so that parents can’t pass on spiritual values to their children. Do this by pushing excessive child rights.

3) Remove restrictions on sex. Sex is the biggest joy and Christianity robs people of this.People must be freed to enjoy it without restrictions. It’s not just for married. It’s for everyone.

4) Since sex is the greatest expression of man’s enjoyment of life, man must be free to express sex in All its forms. Homosexuality, orgies, even bestiality are desirable so long as on one is being abused or harmed.

5) People must be free to abort unwanted children. If a man can have sex and then live without consequences then the same should be true for a woman too. A woman must have the right to abort an unwanted child.

6) Every people develop soul bonds, so when a soul bond wears out a person must be free to divorce. When one starts to grow, one must be free to get together with that person even if they are married.

7) Defuse religious radicalism. Christianity says JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY. Defuse this by a) silencing Christianity and by promoting other faiths (the creation of interfaith harmony)

8) Use the media to influence Mass Opinion. Create mass opinion that is receptive to these values by using TV, film, the press, etc. (NB what western believers call normal in the African church would be pornography)

9) Debase art in all its form. Corrupt music, painting, poetry and every expression of the heart and make is obscene, immoral and occultic. Debase the arts in every way possible.

10) Get the church to endorse every one of these nine strategies. get the church to accept these principles and to say they’re OK (then legal ground is given for these values to get a foothold.)

For this reason, I need to take this spiritual journey to prove to Lee Kuan Yew we need to anchor onto God love which is the real power and not the Zionist Joos. Why? God is forever with us especially when we invite HIM to our heart but when you invite the Zionist Joos to Singapore and LKY had declared for them to come and abuse us and don’t fault them when they leave you high and dry! In 2008 we had bail JP Morgan and UBS in the tune of almost US$ Billion. What will be their next call be, I sincerely hope not using Singapore as the base to bomb other countries in the regin! My mother believed the wheel will turn to the east and the west will go down due to their destructive nature and their god is GREED and more GREED!!

My uneducated mother Lim Soon Hing exclaimed in Cantonese, “Die ah! Die ah! Lee Kuan Yew doesn’t believed in God there is no hope for Singapore!” She cried out loud, “What about the Conscience who will care for the world if everyone is chasing money for money sake? We must believe in God then we have hope! Yes, we must obey human’s law but we must also obey God’s law?”

In The Straits Times August 9, 1998, this was what Mr Lee Kuan Yew said, “I’m not a deeply religious person, so when you talk to me about the soul, my question is: What is a soul? If you say it’s the spirit of a man, I’ll reply: “Well, that’s being upbeat or downbeat, being optimistic or pessimistic, which in turn depends upon the neurological make-up of a person and the stimuli on that neurological system. When you talk to me about the soul, I cannot define it. Are you talking about something ethereal that exists within a person and continues after he’s gone physically? I do not believe that”.

Lee Kuan Yew greatest concern and fear is the demise of Singapore and similar my first ex-husband greatest fear was when he opens the door one day I will disappear with our children. Well, his fear became a reality and I strongly believe Lee Kuan Yew fear is happening right in front of us after his demise. Why do I say so? Because if you are a man show building a country base on your vision how a society should be IS JUST SINFUL because my mother said that even for his children he has no right to make his children lead their life the way he saw it what more a country. A country must grow organically you cannot structure it like in the army or when you build a factory simple as that. WE ARE NOT LIVE ROBOTS but real human being, unfortunately, this was how Lee Kuan Yew had created Singapore. So naturally, after his death, the country die with him. This is proof when I said.

Samuel Ngo  And the forthcoming realization of the Kra Canal Project with full backing from China will deal the death blow to the tiny chauvinistic Singapore whose political leaders only worship MONEY and hide behind the BIG BULLY but shows NO RESPECT for the Motherland of 75% of it’s population even as they are part of Asia and not America!

Te Pu Win  What I see is that the CPC leaders have long memory; very loyal to their friends, such as Kuok Hok Nin, and quietly remember how LKY was so very extremely anti-Communist when he got elected and then turned on Lim Cheng Siong, who deserved 1st merit for his support.

Dennis Etler  Singapore, HK and Taiwan all need a good spanking with a learning stick so they finally realize who the hell they are.

Samuel Ngo  Well said, Dennis. I think California, Texas and Quebec as well.

Kym Rider  Good! Piece of shit Singapore deserves to be hit hard and be taught a lesson.

Sunny Chong   YES AND IT’S HIGH TIME DUE TO OUR CONSTANT ARROGANCE. I never forget what my mother said in the 70’s on Singapore’s future. She said that as long as Lee Kuan Yew still alive and America still the dominating power then Singapore will survive if not the min LKY die Singapore will die a natural death!

This article “China successfully plot Singapore into recession” disturbs my peace of mind and I need to write the book entitle My Mother, Lee Kuan Yew, & God to share with my fellowmen NO ONE HAS PLOTTED SINGAPORE DOWNFALL!!

In fact, we cause our own downfall due to many reasons. In the first place, this Singapore is LKY’s Singapore not the people Singapore! So obviously his demised is the nation demised. This Singapore is a one man vision how a nation should be and that is CHASING AFTER MONEY AS A WAY OF LIFE and not art is part of living. We have failed to pile the right foundation for Singapore by nurturing the local talents and SME and not just focus on the MNC during nation building! Sim Wong Hoo was a local talent and when he was successful he was asked to share his talent or know how because he was a Singaporean but where was the Singapore government when he needed their support when he was not doing well?

Let me share with you this article sent to me by a Malaysian from Facebook. Instead of finding out where we were wrong during nation building Singaporeans blamed others for our setback. Once KRA Canal is built Singapore will fall even further if we do not start planning ahead for such a scenario…,

Spore will go into decline economically and JB market is the future as long as China pumps in development funds ………

China successfully plot Singapore into recession

November 3, 2016

According to an in-depth international politics talk show, China is the main reason behind Singapore’s recession today and the plot started from as far back as 10 years ago.

Below is a translation of the key points covered by the talk show:

Host A: Recent quarterly figures GDP revealed that Singapore’s economy has seen a fall of 4.1%, and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said “our economy will eventually turned for the better”. What he exactly mean is that Singapore’s situation is seriously dire, and when will the economy turn for the better – nobody knows.

At a recent dialogue, a university student questioned Lee Hsien Loong “will I still have a future in Singapore? Will we still have good jobs? Why did the Singapore economy suddenly turned for the worst?”

This has to do with China’s One-Belt One-Road policy and Malaysia is a key player in this policy. In recent years, China has been heavily investing in neighbouring state Johor Bahru’s infrastructures – seaport, airport and even now the railway system.

This also means Singapore’s status as a seaport country has been replaced by Shanghai. This year, Singapore’s transport volume is only 80% of Shanghai. Also, China no longer pass their sea goods via Singapore and has instead passed them to neighbouring countries like Malaysia and Indonesia.

screenshot-from-youtube

China even adopted the Shenzhen-strategy, by uplifting the infrastructure of Johor Bahru to compete with Singapore. Here is the question: Why did China painstakingly plan to act against Singapore?

*Introduction to other guests – Host A summarise again, introduce guest speaker B*
Guest speaker B: This could be a coincidence, but this coincides with the death of Lee Kuan Yew. When Lee Kuan Yew passed away, Singapore’s economy start collapsing. From May 2015, Singapore’s key sectors have been declining. Retail, finance, logistics – every sector is faced with direction competition from China.

Host A: China seems to be gloating at Singapore’s failure at the moment.

Guest speaker B: This is the strategy. China wants to take over as the leader of South East Asia countries, and the ASEAN leader has always been taken by Singapore. So China wants to take down Singapore and take over South East Asia. Singapore claims to be a Chinese society, however Singapore leans towards US and UK. In such circumstances, even Philippines bowed down. If China can take Singapore down, it means US no longer have any allies in South East Asia. Taking Singapore down means taking out the US presence in South East Asia.

Host A: Here are some images of popular shopping district Orchard Road. It used to be a very popular shopping district but the malls are now empty.

Guest speaker B: This is a major change because Orchard Road is Singapore’s key shopping district. However, now there is no crowd like before. Even shoppers are also not buying from these retail outlets. Everywhere is under construction but nobody knows if there any new shops after construction.

Host A: So now, let’s focus what did China do over the years.

Guest speaker B: Singapore is now US’s only partner and the only knight in the South East Asia region. The plot to take down Singapore took 10 years. First let’s cover sea trade logistics, let’s focus on the greater geography. China and Thailand are building the Kra Canal. When that is built, there is no need for ships to pass by the Malacca Straits. Singapore’s sea port will collapse.

Look at this graph of Singapore’s container volume versus Shanghai. Over the years, Singapore and Shanghai has been competing closely with each other. But from 2014 and 2015, Singapore went into recession while Shanghai continue to prosper. This is how the trading volume of Singapore became only 80% of Shanghai’s.

Host A: China also has a port alliance with Malaysia and Indonesia. China now invest heavily in Johor Bahru to kick Singapore out just like it is doing now with Shenzhen to kick Hongkong away.

Guest speaker B: This is the ShenJun-strategy – make Shenzhen prosperous and Hongkong will be replaced. This is why China is investing in the Johor Bahru’s Iskandar Special Economic Region. Johor Bahru has always felt inferior to Singapore because it was “unluckily” located geographically. In 2006, Malaysia started the Iskandar Economic Region.

However China did not invest in the Iskandar region initially. It is only a few years later when China start pumping funds into the region and Johor Bahru starts to think about replacing Singapore. The total invested funds amounted to $40 billion. Therefore, it is only a matter of time Johor Bahru becomes the former Shenzhen. Johor Bahru even set up a number of tax-free zones to compete with Singapore.

Then, China only invested in the manufacturing sector of Malaysia. Excluding property, the amount was $13.6 billion and created 20,000 jobs. China even planned to send their citizens as migrants to Malaysia – literally creating Shenzhen.

The interview subsequently covered a Pakistan investment oversight by Temasek Holdings. Temasek Holdings screwed up the investment by not fully utilizing the port, China then buy over the trade port and developed it.

According to another guest speaker, China is developing the Silk Road and direct trade with Europe through the Middle East. The Silk Road will take only 16 days instead of 30 days through the sea route via Singapore. China is also heavily investment in a high speed train to China.

New China Silk Road – Risks to Singapore?
http://www.mizzima.com/business-opinion/new-china-silk-road-%E2%80%93-risks-singapore

Earlier this year I wrote an article arguing that Myanmar will play a pivotal and key strategic role in China’s “One Belt One Road “strategy, and that Singapore would be the net loser of such an initiative. Since the publication there have been a number of commentators charting the development of the inland routes and little attention paid to the impact on the Maritime lanes.

With Singapore having built a solid and strong reputation around being a leading marine / maritime hub, any changes in the logistics patterns creates vulnerability for the island state. Despite some claiming that China has engaged with Singapore on a diplomatic level, one needs only look at the substance of these discussions it becomes clear that the intent is for Singapore to retain its financial and banking leadership with other countries seen as more suitable to supporting the maritime network. One has to remember that one of the key drivers in One Road One Belt plan is to secure energy and trade security by building a network that bypasses the Malacca Straits. In a sense, what was once a strategic location advantage for Singapore is now a disadvantage. This article will look at the land routes and back up infrastructure to support the changes in maritime thinking.
Supply Chain Consideration

When looking at the sail / rail mix in the region, we can see that a number of interesting developments have taken place. This is of particular importance when one considers that the region’s economic growth pathway will come from the likes of China, India, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. For example, Myanmar’s economy is expected to grow around the 8% mark in the coming year, and according to reports out of the ADB and others, China will account for 40% of trade.

China has invested significant funds in developing Chongqing, and has not been secretive about making this city the logistics hub for Asia and replacing the likes of Singapore. The city is now seen as a leader in high end manufacturing, particularly with regards to robotics, lower Labour costs and access to a market of 300 million consumers. Companies such as Volkswagen and GM have relocated operations to the area.

Furthermore, in order to facilitate and secure this trade, China has granted highly concessionary terms to finance construction and infrastructure projects. These projects include the railway project “Yuxin” that connects China to Germany via Kazakhstan, Russia and Poland. In 2015, this rail corridor successfully completed 257 freight trips.

There has also been the launching of a direct rail and sea freight service between China and Pakistan. The map links the Yunnan province to Karachi port. According to the Xinhua news, this corridor will cut costs by up to 50 percent. The first cargo train carried a 500 ton load from Kunming.

Closer to home as far as Singapore goes, we have seen the signing of the BCIM (Bangladesh / China / India / Myanmar) economic co-operation agreement. The outcome of this agreement is to create a link between Kolkata – Dhaka – Mandalay – Kunming with a focus on building a transport, energy and telecom corridor. There are however some practical issues that need to be resolved, including rail gauge and the creation of special economic zones to facilitate transshipment. Furthermore we can see the various transport corridors connecting the West to the East reproduced in the map below, that highlights the risk to Singapore’s hub status as China looks to secure trade and energy routes without the need to use the Malacca Straits.

Other examples that demonstrate that the nature of logistics within the supply chain has changed, include what is unfolding in cities such as Baku. This is about to totally change the logistics balance that has dominated the East-West trade for the past 40 Years. It will allow manufacturers in once isolated, low cost producer areas, to consider costs associated with using rail or vessels. An ADB study has shown that rail is considerably cheaper than ship. However the study does have drawbacks in that the modelling was based Double Stack Trains and does not take account of rail gauge issues as well as cross border bureaucracy – issues mentioned earlier, and to some extent, resolved by the BCIM cooperation agreement.

Additionally, rail carriers travel at up to triple the speed of a vessel, and the potential financial savings from this new transport mix will translate into savings along the supply chain. One need consider the amount of time/money tied up in L/Cs and Value of Goods whist in transit on lengthy Sea Voyage Journeys. Shippers may well respond by pushing and or developing super ports / break bulk hubs to improve transit times and reduce the cost per mile per shipped container, but these concerns have been taken into the strategy with key ports and canals under consideration. All these elements will help reduce the LC exposure period as well as improve shipping times.

If there was any doubt as to the veracity of these initiatives and impacts, one need only look at Dubai. The city was off the main shipping routes and yet now have 75% of large container vessels diverting to her port to take advantage of the quicker and cheaper transport routes allowed under a transshipment / break bulk facility. This has been enabled by construction of large deep-water ports, rail infrastructure and land facilities.
Conclusion

With the shipping and rail complementing each other as evidenced by the transport map above, Singapore is at risk of losing its maritime hub status as the new alternative transport modes become attractive in terms of speed and cost. This will also place at risk OSV operators who have relied on Singapore to provide the “one stop shop” to support offshore oil and gas logistics. Some companies in the sector have seen this and have moved offices to the likes of Malaysia and Thailand to better take advantage of the new paradigm brought about by China’s new Silk Road.

Controversial as it may seem, it is my opinion that Singapore, once the “Switzerland” of the East will lose this mantle in the not too distant future.

Asia Dilemma – Can We Think?

The Truth Is That Some Asians Think, some don’t. Some Westerners think some don’t. The book Can Asians Think? by Singapore diplomat Kishore Mahbubani might be right if it said some Singaporeans can’t think, but to generalize and stereotype all Asians is quite absurd. The reliance on Confucian values is blamed for causing Asia to have to play catch-up with the western world, but that view doesn’t directly indicate whether a person can or can’t think. Comparing Confucian philosophy and Newtonian physics is like comparing apples and oranges. We have the smarts to realize that to succeed vis-à-vis the western world, Asia must learn the secrets that make the western world of inventing stuff when there are others to do it? This is what would call smart thinking. (Times June28, 1999)

Asians Think About Thinking

Even Sin-Ming Shaw, author of your commentary “It’s True. Asians Can’t Think.” Is capable of thinking (May 31). Look at this sentence in an otherwise passable essay: “If Japan, China and the rest of Asia – perhaps even India – ever manage to cast aside mind-numbing communist, Confucian and caste values, then the region’s talents could one day dominate the Nobel Prize lists.” Perhaps even India? Of course, the author can’t think. Such a condescending, patronizing tone! Such people! (Times June 28, 1999)

In Singapore society they said that pragmatic people are realist and great achiever like Mr. Lee Kuan Yew and we must emulate him, but my mother said that one ‘Lee Kuan Yew’ is enough because if all of us tried to be like him then that will be the end of Singapore? I asked her what did she mean by it? She said that if everyone believed he or she is Lee Kuan Yew then who is going to listen – Mr. Lee Kuan Yew was known to be a man without patient and does not tolerate stupidity. (No wondered all civil servants don’t listen to our voices.)

I can accept whatever Mr. Lee Kuan Yew chose to say like for example he said that if our parents were not from good genes, this means the children were be kind of backwards, so on and so forth. Firstly I don’t think we got a choice but we can learn how to live with it. It is not his right just because he had built Singapore but I guessed that is the price I got to pay to be a Singaporean because in my eyes Mr. Lee Kuan Yew had earned it by bringing Singapore economically to the world stage. So I don’t get annoyed with him whenever and whatever he chose to say about us that might make us feel incompetence or think less of ourselves or hurt our feelings. As long as I don’t believe in whatever he said about me it is all right. All I got to do is to prove to myself that I was not what he thought I’m, instead I took the challenge to prove him wrong that ordinary people like us can think and still got self worth as our worth is not measured by the paper qualifications, which was defined by the system he had created for the nation as a foundation for nation building. Instead our self worth is measured by the deed we do for our family and society. We must build the self-confidence in us, because that is our only and great asset to anchor on, to give us the hope to achieve and excel, besides anchoring onto God’s love. Another way not to be affected by what he said was just brushed it aside and imagined like what my mother usually said, “Oh, last night Lee Kuan Yew slept on the wrong side of the bed that was why this morning he spoke in this harsh manner.”

On the other hand, I could not accept any teachers and civil servants to behave like they are Lee Kuan Yew; this means a right over us just because they are in the position of power. In my eyes they have not earned it, they were in their position because the system created by Mr. Lee Kuan Yew had got them there! I remembered as a young child when the teacher reprimanded me and I will answer back, “Are you, Lee Kuan Yew?” I was not a very nice child when I was young and my teachers were so mad at me because I liked to answer back and now when I give ideas, my friends, the civil servants, and intellectuals said to me, “Are you, Lee Kuan Yew?” I really cannot ‘tahun’ because my whole life this man name Lee Kuan Yew was thrown at my face constantly!

Well, I have accepted Mr. Lee Kuan Yew for who he was and has become and I hope it is vice versa. Instead of blaming the system, in fact, we got to thank Mr. Lee Kuan Yew plentiful for turning Singapore from nothing to what it is today. It is something for anyone to marvel because through this great achievement Singaporeans could have a stable and secure life to enable us to strive for much more and that is the fulfillment and enrichment of our soul.

So if the Remaking Singapore Committee said that no issue is really out of bounds, can I understand that we are free to speak on issues that will affect our life like the water dispute with Malaysia or on foreign policies like ASEAN future development and even on world problems like Sept 11 and the Iraq war ? But sad to say the word ASEAN seemed sensitive in the ears of my friends and the intellects as being political. They were frightened of me because of their suspicion of my intentions when I talk of ASEAN affairs. In short, what was an individual like me got to do with ASEAN? Now, with this kind of thinking like the affairs of ASEAN, which in a way is political, do the Government allowed us to think and talk openly? If it is allowed then why everyone was afraid when I touched on the subject of ASEAN’s future? So how to give the people the assurance that as the citizen of Singapore we can discuss ASEAN affairs or whatever that we felt closed to our heart because what is closed to us might not be agreeable with the Government or might be out of bound in the book of the Government?

Well at least there is light after all these years as Vincent Chew from URA tried to encourage me not to give up. He said, “Look at the hard work you all have done all these years and it did sung into the ears of the Government and they listen by not building the LTA headquarters.” What a big bonus for us all! Should we be jubilated that was our success? Yes I think we should. Step by step this should be the way Singapore will evolve, but of course as people we prefer that we needed not work so hard just to talk to the Government and spend so much money along the way. So maybe we should eliminate the middleman the civil servants and go straight to the Minister like DPM Lee Hsien Loong who asked my daughter to send the proposal directly to him. This happened on S21 dialogue section, when my daughter Greta told DPM Lee about our dilemma he said, “Send your proposal to me and I will read it and see how I could help”. So we got permission already lah!

In my mind I still felt the faults lie with these bureaucrats who did not make the effort to reach the hearts and minds of the Government to convey the people messages to them because the civil servants already make up their mind that it was a lost cause, just like what my teachers had told me in my primary school days in regards to the ethic lesson – the Government won’t listen! When Mr. Kuo Pao Kun held the dialogue discussion at Substation, all of us wished that there should be some Government officials to listen to our cried and calling so that our struggle will be much easier but not one came, why? The Government will send their people to attend political meeting but not social gathering. But anyhow in the minds of most Singaporeans whatever you tried to do, they will always poured cold water at your face. If you do something it got to be for some hidden agenda, therefore, naturally most of them thought that I had an ulterior motive by doing the proposals as the feedback that I got said that I wanted to “Raba Raba” with the ministers. This means to rub the minister’s shoulders or to get some favor that was why I was working so hard. They were wrong about me, I strongly believe that we must allow arts to grow in it natural form, so I do my best to reach out to the Government and hope they could feel me and understand why I was behaving so. Most importantly, I believe Art=Love=God hence if art is not part of living this mean you remove God from our life.

I told the American architects learning is two-way traffics. They might have the skill, but what I have is a powerful vision and great passion in my belief that Great Architecture can change the mindset of the people. I am embrace with the aura of spiritual power that many trained architects lack, not because they don’t have any but due to the way architecture was taught in school (especially in Singapore school) had deprived them of such knowledge.

Moreover, we in Singapore live in a pragmatic society that is too calculative and lack human feelings, which make it harder for the future generations of architects to understand what spirituality got to do with Great Architecture or success. They were not taught to understand that architecture is life; instead they were made to believe architecture is all about structure, function, costing and not about spiritual creativity and spiritual structure that understand social responsibility? I believe once we are able to take care of these two, the true cost will take care by itself. (That was how I had achieved the total costing for the ASEAN House project in Jakarta) In short, education goes both ways. Similarly in the others aspects of life the West can learn from the East too and I believe it is time that they should slow down and question more about life in general because the Capitalist world is tearing us apart.

The world is getting smaller and smaller and what affect beyond our shore will also affect us eventually. We were asked to think out of the box so let us all look out of the box first, because dear fellow Singaporeans, life is not just Singapore and you, it encompasses every aspects of our life too? I am very happy for Singapore because from third world to first world is no doubt a great achievement but from the first world to lead ASEAN and go beyond will be a great challenge not only for the Singapore government but more so for all of us Singaporeans. Are we prepared as a nation to embark on such a challenge? Most importantly, we got to agree as a nation that our foreign policy towards ASEAN’s future? Do we associate ourselves with Asia or we still believe that our survival depend on the West and especially America to give us the protection? No doubt as a nation we can go on economically with the help and support from the West, but what about twenty years down the road whereby the strength of ASEAN and greater Asia will be a plus for us if we could align ourselves closer with the region now and first by building good relationship with our neighbor Malaysia instead of constantly wanting to show or prove to the world that we could do better because we were out of Malaysia.

Ok now wait patiently for my book to be published already published few pages the evil Zionist Joos stopping me all the way. Once published you can visit me in the prison. Better to be in the prison then to leave my book dead:)

Subject: World Harmony Day

Dear Mr Zainul Abidin & Mr Raymond Lim,

When my daughter and I started World Harmony Day in 2002 we did it hardheartedly with love and happiness. If we know that the journey is so difficult like getting the license for the event I doubt we would have the courage to embark on it.

The Bishop from the Vatican told me Pope John Paul cannot endorsed WHD as a day for Humanity and he told me to talk to the UN instead. I got a letter from the UN that advised me to get a letter from the host country to propose for such an act. Obviously I hit against the wall wherever I went to sound out my wish for World Harmony Day.

I am writing to both of you with the hope that you like the idea of WHD and support this good cause. Working hard is not good enough, for us to succeed we need to work smart and the only way is to seek for the support of the government in this endevour. As Ministers in the Foreign Ministry do you think you can give us a helping hand?

I just can’t see myself continue this journey if the government does not share our belief that WHD is good for Singapore and the world. I am not running away from my responsibility like my son said about me but it is just too hard for me to go on even with all this new members coming on board. I am sure both of you understand my situation. WHD is not a commercial enterprise and as an individual you can go so far and I have over stretch myself already.

Thank you very much for your attention.

MY LETTERS TO GEORGE BUSH TO STOP THE WAR IN IRAQ

“Why is PM Blair so expressionless ? Don’t you agree he should join the citizens of the world to stop the “War on Iraq” if he is a Man of Peace!!” – Sunflower Chong.

GB1

I’ve got a perfect solution for Everlasting Peace

30-9-2002

Dear President George Bush,

Do You Have A Heart For The World At Large?

My name is Sunflower Chong from Singapore. Mr. Kofi Annan already said that the world is in a very uncertain period and we cannot afford another war. Why not use the war money by investing it into education to improve the present and future generations that will think kindly of America.

I still believe in America and I always believe in the American people. I cannot thank America enough for liberating the world; I say this from the bottom of my heart. My girlfriend who lives in Washington DC asked me, “Do you know why the whole world loves America and wants to come to America? She said because America represents ‘Freedom’ which is so lacking in many parts of the world.

I fully agree with her. America represents the freedom of self-expression. I profess this ideology and I embrace this belief and value with all the blood in my veins. With this belief as my anchor, I am writing to you to express my views of what has happened to the world recently. You will be surprised to hear that when America held its elections, I personally voted too. I did not vote for Al Gore because he did not show statesmanship when he ignored the Prime Minister Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamad in his own country during the APEC convention. Instead I had voted for you because I believed you are a man of PEACE. Do you still believe this?

America is more than capable of waging not just one war but several – her strength in all areas cannot be underestimated – she is a Force to reckon with, we all acknowledge and recognize this Fact. My concern is for the Third World countries that cannot afford nor endure the violence and destruction of yet another conflict. This will be a hard blow to Peace and all the hard work for Peace that has been undertaken especially since the tragedy of Sept. 11th. Are you being fair to the world, just because of the need to take vengeance for the dead at the WTC and the Twin Towers in New York? The families of the grieving are coming to terms with their lost so why can’t the American Government demonstrate that it is magnanimous?

From my recollection, your entire birthdate 6-7-1946 comes to 6+7+1+9+4+6 = 33 = 3+3 = 6. 6 represents humanity and God is one. And 6 also stands for the Planet Venus which symbolizes popularity, partying, winning ways and diplomacy. Never in my wildest dreams would I have associated your popularity with wars! If I knew this, I would have pray to God for Al Gore to win instead! Is that the way you want history to remember you, a man of hate and vengeance?

In the case of former President Bush Sr., it was an entirely different scenario, when he went to War; he obtained the approval of the United Nations. Concerning the war on Iraq, many have voiced their disapproval (please refer to www.internationalanswer.org and www.worldharmonyday.com). Please think of the consequences, because the repercussions for America will be very grave. Though Mr. Scott Ritter’s (the ex-weapon inspector posted to Iraq), primary concern is not Iraq.. but he is an American and he knows that waging this war would be a big mistake! So he is doing whatever he can to stop it, not because he is against you but because, like the majority of the world he believes in his heart that only peaceful means to the resolution of this ‘crisis’ is the correct path to follow.

May God help America and the whole world if really you decide to bomb Iraq! If I could give you my life in exchange for not bombing Iraq I am ready to do so without any hesitation. If I can capture Saddam and hand him to you I will be so happy to do so. If America, such a powerful Nation could not capture him with all the latest armaments and technology, how could any country or anyone do the job? Let us be realistic, how could you allow yourself to be convinced by the military to bomb the whole country just to capture one man whom you believe is evil. Why don’t you challenge the military to capture Saddam in a conventional way that is fighting him on the ground?

I keep asking God what has happened to George Bush Jr., the man I prayed for so hard to be the 43rd President of the United State? 4+3 = 7, you should be a spiritual man but instead you are a warmonger. It is only after reading the annual horoscope 2002 of Bejan Daruwalla that I got a better understanding of your recent action.

I found out that your Mars is in Virgo – Virgo is a sign of intelligence and perfection. Also it is a sign of attention to detail. These three attributes taken together make for very stern qualities of will and determination. If applied blindly and ruthlessly it could lead to dictatorship and egomania. Lyndon B. Johnson, Fidel Castro, Chiang Kai-Shek, Napoleon Bonaparte, Joan of Arc and Alexandra the Great, all had Mars in Virgo.

He also predicted that it would not be smooth sailing for Cancerian Bush Jr., born on 6th July 1946. The destiny of America will no doubt be affected Your leadership – Saturn, the planet of sorrow, limitations and the serpent or boa-like constrictions present in your sun sign, cancer may cause problems. Thus, the period from Junes 2002 till after June 2003 will not be so healthy or dynamic for the American economy and this will be reflected in the change in mood and attitude of the American people. (It also stated that by 2004 you will be in deep trouble.there is much more, I am afraid it is not so positive. I know you can change your destiny and the destiny of the world too!)

Does it mean you are a coward by not taking vengeance? As history has taught us, vengeance comes to nothing, instead forgiveness is the triumphant word of the day. What about forgiveness and understanding are they just words? Have you not read this quote, “You who want peace can find it only by complete forgiveness.” – A Course In Miracles.

Is God testing your ability and capability to lead the world and not just America? In short, do you see yourself as a leader for America or the leader for the whole world? If you see yourself as the leader for the world then you will know how to fix this world by calling for forgiveness instead of vengeance.

Please do not forget, the world is not just America; it is make up of 191 countries? Don’t you have any thought for all of us if GOODNESS is in you? Where is justice for the world? Is the world at large at your mercy? Please listen to your inner voice, because God is in you! Do not make the same mistake of the past administrations. Let me share with you this article written by Gar Alperovitz, “In another Gulf crisis, a lesson to be learnt”. (The Straits Times Wednesday, September 25, 2002)

“I was a young senate legislative aide in 1964, at the time of the gulf of Tonkin crisis. Just as the Bush administration is now looking for a “reason” to go to war, in 1964 the Johnson administration was desperately looking for some “reason” to expand the Vietnam War. It was also clear that the Johnson leadership team was not above creating or embroidering a reason – or at least so it seemed to many of those working in the Senate then.

When the reason occurred – two alleged ‘unprovoked” mosquito-boat attacks on United States destroyers in the Gulf of Tonkin – a national crisis atmosphere was created and a resolution was introduced for congressional approval that gave the president authority to respond.

It seemed obvious there were many questions about the alleged events. The senator I worked for, Mr. Gaylord Nelson put forward an amendment we drafted to the gulf of Tonkin resolution. Its purpose to only that which was ‘limited and fitting” to the actual provocation (if there actually was such a provocation).

Among other things, the amendment stated that US policy should be limited to the ‘provision of aid, training assistance and military advice”. It concluded that it was ‘the sense of Congress that, except when provoked to a greater response, we should continue to attempt to avoid a direct military involvement”. Like the Bush administration today, the Johnson administration 1964 wanted no restricting amendments.

It was interested in creating a crisis atmosphere and a rush to judgment. To buy off opponents, it permitted the then chairman of the foreign relations committee, Senator William Fulbright, to create a legislative record that could serve as a less-than-formal interpretation of the meaning of the Gulf of Tonkin resolution.

Senator Fulbright, in turn, stated on the senate floor that his understanding of the resolution’s intent was that it was to permit only a response appropriate to the alleged provocation. With such assurances, Mr. Nelson withdrew his amendment.

The Johnson administration went on to use the gulf of Tonkin resolution to justify its massive expansion of the war in Vietnam. We now know that the incidents used to ram the resolution through Congress were highly dubious: The first appeared to have been provoked (the US fired first), and the second may never have occurred.

We’re now faced with another administration urging another congressional resolution that will be used to authorize war. There will be many opportunities for “interpreting” alleged violations of agreements concerning disarmament inspections. There will be many ways for the Bush administration to exaggerate, dramatize and publicize what may or may not be attempts to conceal weapons of mass destruction.

The lesson of the Gulf of Tonkin resolution is clear: There is every reason for tough and explicit limiting language that does not allow for the usual rhetorical gambits that thereafter can be used by an aggressive administration to claim support for whatever it wants
to do, no matter what.”

I hope the article written by Gar Alperovitz had enlightened you to make the right decision for the world and not just for America. Henry Kissinger said, “History did not say that there would be only one superpower forever in the world. And the United States cannot have as its mission the prevention of any other country from gaining some of the attributes we now have”. He continued, “What we can do is to do our best, provided our potential partner is prepared to do the same thing, to find ways to work together in the interest of mankind.”

Also in 1992 when CNN interviewed Ex-president Nixon, he said that America must work in partnership with China to build a better world. Why were they saying all these words after their retirement? If you can’t find the answer please ask God Almighty as you are a man of faith.

“May God guide you every minute of the way!” we the ordinary people with a heart of love and compassion can only watch and pray for the best for this world. Great sacrifices must be make for the future generations and not for pride or ego sake!

Yours truly,
Sunflower Chong

“Love is the law of God. You live that you may learn to love. You love that you may learn to live. No other lesson is required of man”. – Mikhail Naimy

14-10-2002

Dear President George Bush,

Don’t you know that Love is the law of God?

The quote of Mikhail Naimy meaning is this: GOD IS LOVE. The purpose in living is to learn to love, understand, and have compassion for all others, even those who treat us badly or have completely different beliefs than our own.

This is the greatest lesson and the work of our lives! And once we do it for ourselves, we must make the effort to help others find the same love and understanding that we have found. This is the essence of our mission in this lifetime.

“Mourn the Victims. Stand for Peace. Islam is not the Enemy. War is NOT the Answer.”
Today we are at a point of imbalance in the world and are moving toward what may be the beginning of a THIRD WORLD WAR. The citizens of the world beg of you to listen to the voices of the world, please dont be hasty, get all the facts together and get them right too before you take any action because your final decision will affect not only the life of the American people but also the life of the whole world.

Let me share with you what Prime Minister Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamad said – Bush stress on military action is the wrong path to take.

American President George W. Bush is taking the wrong path? With anti-terrorism policies that stress military action and tightened security rather than dealing with the root causes, said Malaysian Premier Mahathir Mohamad. He is really taking the wrong path? Said the Prime Minister, Americans are very angry. They have a right to be angry. But when you are angry, you cannot be rational? Many Muslims would perceive repression in the Israeli-occupied territories or war against Iraq as an attack against Islam and breed new terrorists, he said.

US measures to tighten visa policies and impose stricter checks at US airports for visitors from Muslim countries would have only limited effect and will not help the global economy recover, he added. He also said that an anti-Muslim hysteria was sweeping the United States, but that Muslims should not take seriously a statement by conservative religious leader Jerry Falwell that the founder of Islam was a terrorist. We know that this is just one Christian, who is irrational? He said. There is a need for rational voices to be heard?

He told reporters on the sidelines of the East Asia Economic Summit here that he had urged Mr. Bush during an official visit to Washington in May not to let understandable anger over the Sept 11 attacks dominate his judgment.

Mr. Tom Plate had written on his paper that highlighted this issue about racism if America went overboard in regards to Sept 11. He said, “Consider that all the targets now under consideration by the West – the terrorists, Iraq, Iran – are Muslim. What Mr. Howard did in effect was to invoke the us-against-them, white-against-non-white, western versus Islamic showdown that makes one shiver.” There are worries and concerns on the Muslims ground that Islam is being attack. And the saddest scenario is that the funamentalists are taking over because the liberals felt helpless as they witnessed the New World Order turned into such a World Disorder because of the shallowness of the people due to their ignorance and misunderstanding of each other cultures.

The recent attack in Bali is a prove of Malaysian Premier Mahathir Mohamad and Mr. Tom Plate fear that this world will be divided between the West and Islam. The fundamentalists are blinded because in their eyes they are the protectors for Islam, therefore the altruistic duty of every Muslims must protect their faith. Do you blame them? Similarly, America is attacking any country that they feel are hiding the terrorists!

In the West cultures is just another word. In short it is not a big thing to the American society because when the different nationalities came to create America they came by leaving their roots and cultures behind. Their main objective is to make money and make as much as they can without any values and principles in mind, just the fittest survived. On the contrary for the Asians and Middle Eastern, cultures is everything to them. It represents who we are and if you take these aspects away, we will lose our identity and thus our true self! That is what the people from the East and Middle East have been fighting so hard to maintain as our countries open up to the western world.

This is precisely the persistent worry of Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad and many more who understand the depth of the problems between East and West. For this reason, I see Sept 11 as a great awakening that we got to integrate World Cultures. In a way Sept 11 had brought the whole world together. Is God telling us that with all the pains it is time for us to work together to achieve the gains because it is not going to fall down from the heaven and hand it to us on a silver plate? The world communities got to fix this world by bringing Islam closer to the West, to help them understand the faith of Islam. At the same time, the Muslim world need to teach the Muslims what Islam is all about Islam is about love and not hatred. Is that so difficult to do, if the world bodies put their mind to it?

This world is not save any more and how can you imagine the economy will recovery under such an insecure environment. Now instead of stimulating the economy we should first stimulate the minds of the whole world to help them see the world is not divided into black or white.

There is a great need for genuine dialogue as Mr. Villenpin said, “Fairness is the second pillar of peace. Against a background of emergency situations and interdependence, the hallmark of our era, injustice creates rebellion, rebellion disorder and disorder violence, in a vicious circle, repeated in country after country, region after region, and continent after continent.

At a moment when it is determined to resolve the Iraqi disarmament problem, the international community must adopt the same approach to the Middle East crisis, with a view to rejoining the path to finding a settlement.”

It is in self-limitation that a master first shows himself – J.W. von Goethe

Basically (from my experience and understanding), it means that it takes a great person to restrain him/herself and act from a place of peace and intelligent rationality rather than lashing out in emotional fury. And also, limiting him/herself – not being a slave to desires, but a master, in control. Are you the master or slave? The power is in your hand to decide?

We can only beg of you not to allow the Iraq phobia to defocus your thoughts and vision! It is very important that you stay on focus and your immediate focus is on the WORLD ECONOMY and not just the America economy. Cant you see that the seaport strike, the Pakistan latest missile launching and the death of two Americans in Kuwait are signs from God? Now what is He telling you? He is telling you to be focus because the world needs your attention and statesmanship to put us back on cause. Iraq is a diversion in order for you to make mistake, do not lose your sense of direction and purpose of what life is – To live in peace so that we could achieve prosperity for humankind.

I often wonder during this entire crisis, have you ever realized how important a role you had been chosen for? And the answer is not from your dad, advisors or the Military but your conscience, in short is between you and God. We are here to help you have a clearer vision and view of what is going on around the world; what do the people think, what we hope to achieve for one another and most importantly what do we want the future world to be -to be rule with love instead by fear? Are the citizens of the world asking too much from the world leaders? Or is that too much to ask out of our simple life?

You have every right to play with your life and even the life of your family, but when it comes to the life of the American people and the world at large, I am sorry to say WE DONT GIVE YOU THIS RIGHT! Who do you think you are in the first place to play God and decide our life? To decide how this world of ours is going to evolve. Dont we, all the citizens of the world, have the right too?

When it comes to the life of the world at large, you should allow the world bodies to share this burden and responsibility. Let the decision be shape by the world at large too. In fact what Mr. Villepin said come to light, The danger presented by Iraq concerns all the worlds peoples and, in the first place, those of the Middle East. This mean not even America got the right to decide how this world of ours is going to evolve, simply because the world belong to all of us. Don’t you know we are one big family and we must try to stay as one big happy family by helping each other pull through this crisis together as a team! You need to go alone; no one asks you to, we are all with you provided you are willing to listen to all of us, even from far away places like Singapore.

You should not put this enormous burden on your already heavy shoulder, don’t you realized it is too much to ask from any man and in the first place we did not ask you to shoulder all these responsibilities? France, Russia, China with the UN are willing to be part of the decision making process because this world belongs to all of us! Why don’t you allow us to help you lessen your load so that you could sleep soundly for Laura and the childrens’ sake too. I am sure they are very worried for you as you are putting too much on yourself.

You had already listened to the Military, all your advisors, and even to your father I believe, and then why not for a change, listen to the voices of the world? You got nothing to lose? Iraq will always be there and Saddam is not running away from you or any body or even the world at large, he is ready for you to take him anytime, so time is on your side, so why don’t you use it wisely?

If you are a spiritual man you will believes in Mr. Kofi Annan values, “To save one life was to save humanity itself”. We need to strive for greater humanity to save our world. Instead of allowing time to destroy your judgment and vision; you will use time wisely to heal all the wound of the world. As Thomas L Friedman said, “To be successful in with Iraq, US President George Bush has to tread the most unusual line one could imagine for a statesman. He has to be wild, but not crazy.”

Do you know everyone is calling you not only a crazy man but also a mad man and a warmonger? To bring one man down, you got to bring the whole world down. This is not a brave act but plain stupidity and mindless of what going on around the world. Many people believe America got ulterior motive or hidden agenda and that is to control the second largest oil field in the world, instead of liberating the Iraqis. If the sincerity is to liberate them, then the sanctions should not be impose anymore! Neither can you consider yourself a crusader or a hero or a savior because in the eyes of the world they see it differently! In short, they see President George Bush as a coward. And this is the reason why the whole world got to stop the War on Iraq, for the sake of the Americans people before a mistake is make and regret will be too late.

During the briefing in regards to the seaport strike you ask of the America people to sacrifice for the country. They will only do so if you set the example by sacrificing for the world at large. Please, I beg of you to listen to the argument of Mr. Villenpin. All of us in the world love America because America represents Freedom! and not Fear. What has happened to our beautiful America now? Can President George Bush fix it for us? Does he really want to do it? We know that the power is in his hands; does he has the will to do it? How is he going to achieve it without violence? These are the questions the world has got to know. The citizens of the world can only pray for you day and night to make the right decision for all of us.

You know from the bottom of your heart that we all care and love America for what it represents, and swear to God (which I don’t often do) we the citizens of the world would want to continue to love and respect America for as long as you allow us too. Please don’t ever let this beliefs and values go down the drain! They could and will if you make the wrong decision for the world at large.

We are indeed at your mercy, not because we wanted to be but we do not have a choice obviously, since you declared openly that you would go alone. So if you are man enough you should have a duel with Saddam instead of dragging Prime Minister Tony Blair and the whole world with you to kill innocent life! How could you do that if you are a sane man? If you are not insane then this means either the American people are insane to elect you as the President of America, me included because I prayed so hard for you to be the president with the hope that when you became the president you would not be hard with Malaysia, my neighbor. As the saying goes you can’t have everything in life. I got what I wanted, for you to be kind to Malaysia but at the expense of destroying the whole world. May God forgive me for my choice!

So you can imagine how I am feeling now, desperate, helpless and at a loss because the future in front of us is very, very dark. Therefore, I am left without any alternative but to keep on trying to reach you and if I could speak to you that would be great, if not I will continue to write to you straight from my honest and sincere heart with the hope my messages will touch yours to convince you to change your mind in taking action to bomb Iraq. We pray and beg of you to give us your ears and listen to what we have got to say to you. Is that too much to ask of you, a man of great faith in God?

Yours truly,

Sunflower Chong

I’ve got a perfect solution for Everlasting Peace

Dear President George Bush,

Why is it that America is so different from the rest of the world? Once you were threatened the whole world had to pay the price for it! Look at England, Russia, India and many more countries that have been suffering under the same fate. They don’t go around bombing and take the whole world down with them. Why is America doing this to the world at large? We just can’t sit and watch and do nothing and allow you to destroy our world just like what the fundamentalists have done to our world! You are no better then them if you decide to bomb Iraq! Can’t you see you are playing into their game; they’ve got you right where they want you.

You are allowing the terrorists to dictate your way of life! America stands for “Freedom” but after Sept 11, it stands for “Fear”. So how can you claim that in America life is going back to normal? Now America is a country filled with great fear and obsession to get rid of the races that they don’t understand. How could you allow them to turn such a powerful country into this sad state of affairs? It is so tragic to see America degenerate into such a mouse.

Do you think this is the way the New World Order is supposed to evolve? Do you remember after Ex-president George Bush Sr., won the “Gulf War”, he declared that he would set a New World Order? I really wonder, are we in order or disorder, maybe you could ask him what he meant by it? Now this “New World Order” simply means America dictates and the rest of the world has to follow, but for how long can America play this superiority?

Please don’t ever forget Henry Kissinger wise words, “History did not say that there would be only one superpower forever in the world. And the United States cannot have as its mission the prevention of any other country from gaining some of the attributes we now have”. He continued, “What we can do is to do our best, provided our potential partner is prepared to do the same thing, to find ways to work together in the interest of mankind.”

Indirectly he is telling you, in a subtle way, that your administrations must work together with the East to build a better world. This means a World with Peace, if not how could we prosper together. Look at the situation in America now, with the seaport strikes looming, you should focus on the economy rather than being the one who stagnates the whole world economy! Shame on you and the whole world dependent on you! Aren’t you aware that the world is changing and it keeps on changing? No amount of force can stop the circle of change.

Now after Sept 11, under your leadership America seems to go back to Stone Age. America at large must understand and accept that the time will come when another super power will take over and this super power will work together with America to build a better world for the future generations. Then I believe we will be on the right track to build a better world.

We all know that Palestine is one of the causes to the world’s problems, and America is the only super power who can resolve this thorny issue due to Israel’s dependency on the generosity of the America Government and the Jewish people. As we know nothing is free in life and no one owes you a living, therefore this means at what price are the world communities willing to pay for everlasting peace? Sad to admit it but it is a true fact that for “World Peace” to happen, there is a price tag that goes with it. Our problem is whether we should admit it openly or accept it in silence.
Now the question is, how much are the world communities willing to pay to have everlasting peace? Next, we have to ask ourselves this very vital question, if true peace can be achieved who is the beneficiary and who is the loser? If we can find the answer, this means we are closer to resolving this thorny issue that has almost brought the whole world down.

If you remember after the “Cold War” the sale of the armaments in America dropped drastically and the manufacturers were very worried – especially the military – because of their suddenly shrinking budgets. Because in peacetime many countries were reducing their defense budget and they were not buying arms. On top of it, the America people demanded that since peace is in the air, the Government should spend more on health care and education instead of defense. This must have driven the military up the wall, because they got a lot of new ideas for their expansion plan. The American Government cannot justify to the people an increase in the defense budget as health care and educations deteriorates and are ignored.

So if there is to be peace in this world, this means there will be no market for the arms. When there is no market, this means someone or group is not getting their cut and worst of all is that the America economy will go into a downward trend. When this happens, what is going to happen to the American economy? This is no joke, as we all know America economy depends very much on the sale of this firepower.

The fact is that if there is peace in the world this is bad business for the American manufacturer of the armaments and thus bad for the American economy.

My answer is very simple, get all the countries that had been buying fire arms from the America’s manufacturer to sign an agreement to continue buying those arms even at peacetime. Not only that, they should increase their budget annually. Doing nothing to stop this War on Iraq means the citizens of the world are giving you the license to kill, therefore we would rather convince the world communities to support America by continuing to buy arms from America in exchange for Everlasting Peace.

How many terrorists are you going to kill and how many countries are you going to bomb in order for the Americans to feel safe to go on with their life as usual? I know that America can solve this problem in the Middle East. In exchange for everlasting peace, America should give Palestinians their homeland and the world communities would guarantee America the continued support of the armaments industry. If the world communities still refuse to solve this problem I am afraid the extremists will be using it as an excuse to cause more trouble to the entire world.

I know by giving such a suggestion I might make a lot of people unhappy, like my friend from America. That’s what Sara said to me, “Are you saying that countries will agree to stockpile weapons just to keep the military industrial complex happy? I can’t completely agree with that as I am repulsed at the thought of billions of weapons just lying around. I advocate the elimination of all arms! We could ease these companies (by subsidies) into making new products and services that would help the people of the world instead of destroying them”.

It’s easier said then done, I told her it’s not that straightforward like A, B, C. Can you imagine how long it took the America armament industry to reach this stage, so this means how long is it going to take them to reach where they are now. There is no quick fix but great understanding is required to help each other strive for a better life for their people.

I would like to share with you Miss. Christiane Grenzebach from Germany making a “A PLEA FOR PEACE”. (I am only taking the Introduction section to share it with you.)

A PROTEST AGAINST WAR
This is a plea for peace, a protest against war on Iraq, against other “on-going wars”, against the destruction of peace.

This is a group poem, made up of voices from poets of several countries around the world, asking for an end to this war: the world’s plea for peace. We cannot let this war happen; we cannot let this mass murder of our innocent soldiers of several countries and innocent civilians of Iraq, and of the world, suffer with the greed and insanity of some leaders.

MOTTO:
“Once war was declared I took my courage by both hands and strangled it!” – Jacques Prйvert, French poet, 1900-1977 – fragment from the book FATRAS

W ORLD PEACE POEM
P lea to all nations:
E xpress your feelings against war without fear,
A ct now, don’t follow blind the masses,
C ling together to make a difference,
E nd the new war before it starts.
F ighting will lead us nowhere,
O ur world deserves peace.
R equital is no solution.
T error is without doubt horrible,
H oly war, too.
E xtermination of Iraq won’t change anything.
W e are all children of this planet,
O ur common goal should be a better world for us all.
R aise your voices,
L oud and clear,
D emand peace for this world!

May Almighty God be with you to guide you to make the right decision for the world at large?

Yours truly,
Sunflower Chong

Letter to President George Bush – Stop the “War on Iraq”

“Why is PM Blair so expressionless ? Don’t you agree he should join the citizens of the world to stop the “War on Iraq” if he is a Man of Peace!!” – Sunflower Chong.

30-9-2002

Do You Have A Heart For The World At Large?

Dear President George Bush,
