Why do I have to do this, Sunflower Chong?

Why do I have to write articles like this?

I shouldn’t have to. But when I read articles on the Turkey-Israel reconciliation agreement explain the context as follows, how can I not? Here’s the BBC on Israel’s blockade of Gaza:

Israel maintains its blockade of Gaza to try to prevent weapons or materials reaching Palestinian militants … while allowing humanitarian aid into the territory. Palestinians say the policy is tantamount to collective punishment, and UN and aid officials have warned of deteriorating conditions in Gaza.
What a load of B.S.

It’s as though the Israeli Foreign Ministry itself was writing content for Western mainstream media outlets.

Do you know what I’m talking about? Can you spot the lies and deceptions in the BBC’s characterization of the blockade?

Naturally, the media also fails to explain the true significance of the Israel-Turkey reconciliation deal.

The agreement makes Turkey a partner with Israel in its occupation regime, helping Israel to sustain its policy of collectively punishing the entire civilian population of Gaza.

So why did I have to write my latest article, titled “How Turkey’s Reconciliation Deal with Israel Harms the Palestinians”?

Well, somebody had to do it.

Get the real story the mainstream media will never tell you.
Sincerely,

Jeremy R. Hammond

I believe strongly, Sunflower Chong, that a just and peaceful solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict is possible.

I sincerely believe that we can achieve this goal together.

I think, together, you and I can change the world. So let’s do it.

All it requires is a passion for the cause and a commitment to educate ourselves and then share that knowledge with others.

If you’re active on this issue, I’m sure you’ve encountered Zionists who try to justify Israel’s crimes against the Palestinians.

How many times have you been confronted with an argument you weren’t quite sure how to answer?

Obstacle to PeaceI’ve heard them all. I confess there have been plenty of times when I found myself confronted with an argument I hadn’t heard before and felt unsure of how to effectively answer it.

But by now I think I must have encountered pretty much every Zionist talking point under the sun.

And I’ve written a book to answer them: Obstacle to Peace: The US Role in the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict.

If you haven’t already signed up to read the entire first chapter for free (along with Richard Falk’s Foreword and Gene Epstein’s introduction), go get it here!

“Congrats on your forthcoming book – Ch.1 is jam-packed with awesome info and narrative – VERY well written!” – @BradRHoff
Not only will you get the free excerpt, but also a primer course on the conflict giving you the most essential must-know info.

Never again find yourself uncertain how to answer a Zionist trying to justify crimes against the human rights of the Palestinians.

Empower yourself with the knowledge become a more effective voice for peace and help effect the paradigm shift necessary for a just peace to be achieved.

Get the e-course and read chapter one, titled “The Rise of Hamas in Gaza”.

Now, if you’re already signed up, don’t hesitate to join the discussion and email me your questions. I’ll be doing Q&A throughout the course. (And don’t worry, you won’t miss anything; once you sign up, you’ll start the course at the beginning.)

I also value feedback!

Finally, if you’re already into the course and have finished chapter one, please take a moment to help me spread the word:

Tell others about the book excerpt and free course!
In Solidarity,

Jeremy R. Hammond

How do you respond to people who try to justify Israel’s oppression of the Palestinians?

If you read my last email, Sunflower Chong, you witnessed me do a take down of a Zionist trying to argue on Twitter that Israel’s start of the June 1967 “Six Day War” was justified on grounds of “self-defense”.

I squashed him.

Have you had your own experiences confronting people who try to justify the oppression of the Palestinian people?

Well, you’re following my work, so I’m guessing you’re the kind of person who has had those kinds of discussions.

And have you ever been confronted with an argument that you just didn’t know quite how to respond to?

Have I got something for you!

First, I want to share a reaction I got to my takedown. Antonio emailed me to say:

Well done Jeremy, your answers are precise to those twiters which clearly are examples of a tremendous ignorance and insane repulsive complicity with Israel’s criminal behaviour against Palestinian people .
So I’ll tell you what I told Antonio.

If you are looking for a resource to be able to quickly gain the knowledge you need to defend the rights of the Palestinians, I’m putting on a free e-course right now giving you the must-know info.

Sign up for the free course here!
The course consists of a daily email that I try to keep as brief as possible (since I know you’re busy, and I value your time).

Each email covers a different topic, starting with the question, “What is Zionism?” and proceeding through key historical events and their significance.

Real quick, here’s another reply I received to my last email:

It was just yesterday that I had a debate with some people on facebook on the International Solidarity Movement page which had an article from Al-Jazeera with regards to the 1967 war. I have used your arguments from your page (the link that you provided). Thanks very much! I had a back and forth with some zionists there on the closing of straits of Tiran which they claimed as the “act of war” thus the justification for israel to attack Egypt. How do you respond and put an end to this argument? And, what’s your source?
Well, it just so happens we just covered that very topic in the course, providing all the ammo you need to put an end to this argument.

Want to read it?

Sign up and look to day seven of the course!

The subject heading will be: “Why was the 1967 War such a watershed event in Middle East history?”, so watch for it. (And don’t worry, you won’t miss anything; you’ll start at day one.)

Oh, when you sign up for the course, you’ll also get to download the entire first chapter of my new book, Obstacle to Peace: The US Role in the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict.

Bonus.

Until next time,

Jeremy R. Hammond
